  1. Hi, I am trying to join 2 DIVX AVI files to one, so that I can author to DVD.

I looked around but couldn't find how to do it.
I tried the join tool. Didn't check the whole joined file, but at the end there was about a half an hour or more missing.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Multi-GB size files may be not compatible with the AVI format. You could convert each file separately and then use Sizzle to author a single DVD.

  3. Thanks Major, but how can I control the size of one converted 700Meg Avi file, so that two of them would fit in a DVD-R?

    Thanks again.

  4. You can use MPEG Streamclip to join the mpegs too.

For size control use the bit rate calculator in the video tab to control size.

-Set total time of the movie: total of both parts in minutes
-Select the DVD 4Gig disk option
    -Click the rate button

For example: a bit rate of 4400 kbit/s will let a 2 hour movie fit on a single DVD-R or RW.

    Cheers
