hi, i have portable vcd player which plays through the AV channel on the television. I was wondering how u can record from the AV channel onto the vcr?. I have made a vcd which i would like to show relatives, the dont have vcd/dvd player so vhs is the only option

Hi, Mike!
Connect the audio & video outputs of your dvd to the audio or video auxiliary inputs of your vcr. If your vcr is sort of a modern one it will have one set of av inputs at the back and another set at the front.
Now, in your vcr's remote control push 01 or 02 depending on which av input you use, either front or back.
Now you can record your dvd on your vcr and watch it on your tv screen.
To go back to regular vcr mode push 03 or whatever channel your vcr is programmed to.
