My father in law is running a desk-top and also a laptop. The desktop is connected to a satellite broadband and he wants to connect the laptop aswell with a wireless connection. He was told to get a USB adaptor for the pc and a notebook network card for the LT. He has connected all the cards and drivers etc, but nothing seems to be happening. He has followed all the instructions and rechecked everything three times over. The cards are made by belkin. I don't know what spec's the PC & LT are though but he is on the 1mb broadband. He was told that because he is on a satellite broadband he didn't need a router, just the cards.
    Any suggestions please?

    Hello,

If you don't have a router I believe you need to set it to "ad hoc" connection. That is "for this" occasion. It will let the adapters find each other.
