MPEG editor for Mac?

Does something along the lines of Womble MPEG-VCR, Womble MPEG Video Wizard, or VideoRedo exist for Mac yet?

From the description, it looks like VideoReDo does quite a few of the same things as MPEG Streamclip.

MPEG Streamclip can do basic MPEG editing with straight cuts with a spartan GUI for editing.

Capty MPEG Edit seems to be a real MPEG editor but it seems to be only bundled with hardware and in Japanese by default.

Womble seem to work OK via Virtual PC but a proper Mac OS X-native MPEG editor would indeed be nice.

Check out CaptyDVD 2.2 for mpeg editing. It gets good reviews and supposed to be very fast at compiling video_ts folders and burning DVDs. It's in English and available at LaCie in Portland for $75 (with Toast 6 Lite in the bundle). I just got it. www.lacie.com and then call them for product information.

Bob Hudson in Kansas City area has written several articles about Capty 2 editing - new features, etc. , some of them at www.videouniversity.com. Also check his website, www.bobhudson.com (I think). He has been a leading expert on InstantDVD and Capty 2, and has assisted a lot of Mac users struggling with the ADS orphan.

Does anyone know if there any other mpeg 2 set top encoders? I'm wondering if InstantDVD is the last, affordable, real-time hardware encoder, or am I missing something...

I, too, value Bob Hudson's excellent advice. However, my understanding is that CaptyDVD 2 is an encoding and authoring application; not an MPEG editor. Does it do editing?

As for MPEG 2 set top encoders there are the EyeTV units and Miglia is coming out with "EvolutionTV."
