    Hey everyone, I have a question. After ripping a dvd i just want to convert it to an AVI file, not an MPEG. I have many AVI (DivX) files that I downloaded and are all about 600 MB for the entire movie. How can I do this? The AVI files I make are about 900 or 1 GB for the movie. THANKS A LOTTA!

    Rip the movie with a proggie called EasyDivX 0.61. It will make the movie however big you want it to be.

    I use DivXalpha3.11 (with the smile).
    When I use 910 (some standard value) a movie of 75minutes becomes less then 600Mb. The larger the movie the higher this value must be set, or your AVI's be grow as well..

    can't imagine the quality thou...do u guys have to decrease the framerate to get the movie to compress it?
