WinDV has stopped capturing from my Canon MV700. It detects the camcorder no problem but just will not cpature any video or audio. It's the same with MM2. I'm using a firewire cable and I have had no problems until now.
Any ideas people?
Thanks

Sounds like a DirectX problem.
Try reregistering qcap.dll by going to Start>Run and typing regsvr32 qcap.dll and hit enter.
If this doesn't solve it, perhaps try reinstalling DirectX."Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan

Or a IEEE-1394 port driver could be the issue. Try to uninstall the driver under device manager and let it reinstall on reboot.
Is the problem just capturing? Can you see manual playback on the desktop without recording? -

No, it won't playback either. It's strange because the PC will make a sound when it's connected and I get the little camera icon too. Aaarrrgh!
