  1. For some reason, XP is not showing icons for my JPEG and BMP images. Is there any way I can fix this?
    This is a JPEG image, but there is no icon:

    What program is it associated with? Try reapplying that association.

    If mean the icon is no longer a thumbnail then check what view your in.

    open up a file explorer screen...say double click on my computer....>tools>folder options>files types....

    all the file extensions will show there. look for the extensions that you're having probs with...say JPG for example..."Opens with" should be windows picture and fax viewer...and if changing that doesnt help click on advanced and you can change the icon.

    im guessin u uninstalled a proggy that took over those file types?
