  1. I create DVD video files using TMPG Express and TMPG Author. Initially the files are fine but later when I play them back using WinDVD the movie somehow has been combined with other movies on the hard drive. In other words I see parts of at least two movie when I should only see one. Does anyone know what is causing this?

In what way are they combined ? Files don't just leak into each other because they were stored too close together on the nard drive. It is either something you are doing when you encode or author, or something winDVD is doing on playback. A better decsription of the actual problem would help us determine where the problem lies. Are they mixed as in a cross fade type effect, or more like they have been cut together ?

HDD fragmentation can cause this. So can IDE driver failure/error/corruption.

  5. Thanks everyone, the problem also occurs if I burn the movie. It like the movies have been cut together. I will defrag more often. I will also check for new IDE drivers for my motherboard and IDE controller card. Thanks again
