If the original file has a 352X240 and 1500kbps and if I am to accept Nero default settings (Quality=Automatic), the end result would be Super Long Play (352X240 1693 kbps), however If I am to set the Quality to Standard Play, the end result would be 720X480 and 5073 kbps. Would the setting to Standard Play improves the quality of the DVD playing on standalone DVD player or should I just leave everything to Nero? (as I was told if I blown up the original from 352X240 to 720X480, it would actually makes the video quality worst!?), also how can you tell the quality of a downloaded avi/mpeg file before burning to DVD disc?

OK, I know before burning to DVD disc the file will be in Video_TS, and if I have several Video_TS files at different folders, is it possible to combine them and burn them to the same disc? (or it doesn't work this way?) one last thing, is the Recode program ONLY deals with Video_TS folder/files?

Thanks for your help/feedback in advance.

    1) No...upsizing the res will not do ANYTHING positive (form an mpeg source)..east of all increase quality....in fact the oposite is true.

2)Yes..you can author as many vids onto a DVD as may fit (dictated by the bitrates)..use TDA...open DVD files if using VOBS as your source.

    3) Walk away from NERO..and get some better tools. TMPG+ (for encoding) and TDA (tmpg DVD Author) are a good start.
