Does anyone have experience of DVD Region Master PC software http://www.dvdregionmaster.com/

My concern is perhaps there may be implications regarding the PC DVD Rom Player.

Who would pay $39.95 for a program when you can get programs & firmware to do the same thing for free

You failed to name the free software that does it in the same simplified way.

There are a few around & i don't even waste my time with them, i just flash my drives, then there is no need to mess with a program

Flashing the drive is only half of the solution. I've flashed two Pioneer 107's and a 108. The 107's for a mac and the 108 for a friend's pc. If you flash the drive then playback movies using VLC you don't have to worry about software region coding, because VLC doesn't require it. WinDVD and PowerDVD will set software region codes in Windows that can be reset with DVD Region Killer, but I prefer to do it the simple way. When you rip a movie you'll usually need to tell the program the movie's region if you don't want to break the ifo's(and the menu with it.)

I have flashed all my drives and have never had to use any other program to watch my import dvd's on my pc, regardless of the region or format.
