    i have a avi file and want to convert to mpg,im using mainconcept mpg encoder. but every time i try and convert it im getting no sound. the original file has sound.

    any ideas

    Convert the audio to mpa/mp2/ac3 with some other tool like ffmpeggui or belight. Join the converteed mpg with the new audio using tmpgenc->file->mpeg tool>-simple multiplex.
