I am trying to convert some of my LDs to DVDs using Kworld 883 PCI card. The audio is captured via the integrated onboard sound card. The video came out very good but the audio has hissing noise throughout. What could be the problem? I noticed the sound level is very low during the capture and I have to increase the recording level to almost the top. Would this be the problem? Is there anything to fix this? Please advise. Thanks.

Might be the onboard sound, I had a sound card die and I tried to be cheap and use the onboard, I got hissing sounds, bought a new sound card, no hissing sound.

Great. I do have a spare CreativeLab sound card that I can try. Thanks for the advice.
