Does Microsoft Windows XP support 5.25" Floppy Disk Drive?

Just asking. I would need to know before upgrading anything.

  3. As lumis said, XP does support 5.25" floppy drives. But do you still get to buy 5.25" floppies or is this just a case of having a lot of 5.25" collection from the past. Personally I would transfer all old (precious) data to a CD.

However one thing about 5.25" floppies is - they were much more reliable than the 3.5" which replaced them.

I don't think this would be considered an upgrade.
