Diskeeper was set to auto defrag and unfortinatly wh8ilst playing a ovie it was defragging that movie..i didnt know this was happening at all until bs player froze.

Anyway b4 it froze i tried to flick thru to the end of the film and it was just a blank screen..then ending task to bs player, looking at the defrag it was up to defragging 480 mb of the thing i was watching, it hasnt found any errors on divfix or anything i think im very lucky that the film still works..woiuld this have totally buggered up other fiolms on the drive though??

I doubt it. When you defrag, all it is doing is moving files around (like organizing a file cabinet). Ideally, a defrag program should be run with no other program running. However, your video files are probably just fine and will probably load faster after being defraged.
