Encoded a VOB file with AutoGK (both Xvid and DivX5) and movie keeps starting and stopping. I try to encode it using TMPGEnc Plus (after demux, mv2/ac3) and I get no sound.

Is it on a DVD you burned? If so it's likely the media.

If it's still a file it sounds like a bad encode

No, in Real Player. It's never happened to anything else I've encoded. I ripped it using DVD decryptor then encoded.
(I was using ac3 sound in TMPGEnc which is why there was no sound.)
