Help With A Guitar Effect

This is for you die hard Guitarists!

I have jst bought a Yamaha Magic Stomp Effects pedal and was wondering if anyone could tell what settings i need to use to get the intro effect from Boulevard Of Broken Dreams by Green Day, i have tried playing around with the pedal but no luck

can you post a small clip of the intro, so I can hear the effect you are talking about? I might be able to figure it out, but I don't know the song.

Besides the obvious delay and distortion, it sounds a bit like a leslie.

Definately delay and distortion. Sounds like there might be a bit of gate there to clip out the pick attack.

I forget which magazine exactly does it, but one of the Guitar World or Guitar Magazine or whatever mags shows you the exact pedal configuration and amp settings the guitarist uses for the songs which they transcribe. Might want to see if they've done this song.
