I slow down when I see a patrol car. I speed up after I have passed it.

I speed up when I see the patrol car and slow down when they catch me.

i've never seen a speed camera, they seem okay at redlights.. but as far as speeding, it doesnt seem fair.. sometimes you have to keep up with the flow of traffic or you will get in to a wreck.

on my commute to work i do 80/80mph in a 65mph zone because the flow of traffic dictates it.. there are even cops on the side of the road, they dont pull people over for it.. i guess they're either lazy or on the look out for wreckless drivers.

Cops are not lazy. They are watching all the time:

    - Cops generally tolerate a 10-15 mph overspeeding on Interstate
    - Cops single out for those who are driving reckless, lane cutters, and anyone they feel are endangering the traffic in general
    - Cops are very strict in residential and school zone (20's and 30's zone). In such zones they may not tolerate anything above 5 mph; sometimes not even that

That is the exact reason why speed cameras are not a good idea.

Time that this debate had a poll option. Any ideas cobra?

In the US if these aren't placed high enough they tend to meet the end of a baseball bat during the late nite hours
