  1. Ok ...

I got a new 120" video projector. I have been showing it to all my friends and family and when I do so I demo several DVDs of mine.

what I want to do is make a compilation DVD that has all of my favorite chapters.

I have ripped all the chapters that i want using DVDshrink, and have the VOB s in seperate folders on my HDD.

Im trying to follow one of the guides on DVDlab Pro, but it doesnt cover my problem.

When I try to make a movie with menus it will only let me open one chapter.

For example, lets say I import 3 of my ripped chapters into DVDlab Pro. I then drag Chapter1 onto Movie1. No problem here, doing great. Now lets say I want to add chapter2 (seperate VOB) onto the same Movie1, eeehhh Wont let me.

How do I get around this. I just want a simple menu that will let me click on what demo movie clip that I want to watch

If all your movies are the same aspect ratio (i.e. all 16:9 or all 4:3) and they all have the same audio format, then start a new project with a single VTS. Import your VOBs and drag the first one up to the movie. Now add another movie. Drag your next one here. Continue this until all are done.

If you have different formats or aspect ratios, then you will have to create mutliple VTS's to group like assets together.

Use the connections window to link movies in order.

DVD Lab Pro does not see multiple clips as chapters (because they aren't), so if you want to join the clips together, you have to do this outside DVD Lab Pro.

If you don't need menus, you could use DVD Shrink in reauthor mode to put all the clips together. Much simpler.

  3. im getting somewhere now

I just have about 25 movies open, and I link them to a text button.

My question now, I do have clips of different aspect ratios, and I figured out how to add a VTS.

Can I add the 4:3 clips under this new VTS and link them to my original menu??

lastly, I want a play all button on my first menu, how do I make it play all?

Put all you 16:9s in one VTS, and all your 4:3s in another. You can link across VTS's from the VMG. Look up PlayLists in the Help files to see how you can create a Play All feature. Not sure how this goes crossing VTS's though.
