  1. I have a CD-RW which had some pictures and data on it for back up (my only copy). I used it a couple months ago and today when I put it in, I can not read anything on it. It is like it is not there. Can anyone tell me hopefully a quick fix for this?

    Can you read the disc on other computers?

    If you're sure the disc is good the problem
    might be with your PC. Can you read other CDs
    on the PC?

    If you can't read CDs, you can delete the upper
    and lower CD filters in the registry. That usually works.

    is it that its all scratched up or did it just stop working and the disc still looks ok visually?
