  1. A good source for cover artwork, if you only want the front cover, is available at many places online. Just go to any number of websites selling dvd's, many of them will have thumbnail pics of the covers, some will allow you to click and see a bigger version of the cover, very useabe for replacing the front cover artwork. It's AMAZIN where you might find some of these pictures.

I wanted to know because I'd like to see if they were a higher quality than what I normally get. Are they kinda thin like the ones from Meritline and Supermedia?

Look for Amaray cases. These are the best you can get (and what most commercial DVDs come in).
    www.tapeandmedia.com
www.usplastic.com (IE might not work, use mozilla/firefox/other browser).

Amaray Premium, Amaray II, NexPack (multi-dvd cases).

not to cheap starting at US $0.34 each - but can be purchased individually at usplastic.com. You will know that you get something that is good quality.

When stacked in the shelves you only see the spine anyway. So... looks good and saves a bunch in ink that I would have to pay for. Amazing how many spines a 30ml color cartridge will do.
    Thats one option.
i do the same thing, it gives the same effect while using 10% of the ink

Well, they are the same thickness as any dvd case you would get with a pressed dvd, they have a diff. locking hub but they work for me seeing as my dvd's don't get jarred around but i have some case's that i like the locking mechanisim better.... but that's kind of unfair because as long as they hold and release the dvd easily i am happy
And they do lock the dvd in very tightly, IE: they won't just fall off!!!

  11. Hi everyone,

I hope this is not a stupid question... But does any company makes case inserts that is front and back only, without the spine? So far all of the cover insert sheets I've seen are for whole images, front+spine+back in one. But if the sources (not scanned by me) are separate front and back images, will I still be able to take advantages of the pre-cut insert sheets?

If I have to cut the paper myself, what is supposed to be the template measurements for just the front or back images?

    Spiffy

  12. Thanks Noahtuck, they look just like mine. I don't really like that mechanism either but it serves its purpose I guess.

Hubs should not hold discs to tightly. The disc should be able to freely rotate.

To much stress on the hub can cause damage to the discs (by seperating the two polycarbonate/plastic layers). This is especially true if discs bend when trying to remove them.
