I have been doing svcd's for about six months,no trouble. tmpeg has suddenly started encoding at about 10 times normal speed with the same settings I have always used.The result is crap.80% artifacts.anybody help

Does it do this for all source files, or just some? My first thought is you have some poorly coded DivX files or an AVIsynth script that stops frameserving.
Need more info. -
try downloading the latest Divx codec maybe the one your computer are one of the old ones and most people now are useing the latest so maybe that your problem

I think I have found one reason. It only happens when I set the GOP settings to 1.0.0 instead of 1.3.2.Does this make sense.
