When using Adobe Encore can I have part of the DVD as a still image slideshow and other parts as video and also use transtitions between photos without loss of image quality?

I would like to put together a home movie DVD which contains pictures and also videos. With Roxio DVD Builder apparently once you add video or transitions to the project it becomes a 'video' project and all images are encoded like a video and loose there quality.

So will Adobe encore allowvideo and transitions along with still image slideshows that are of very high quality?

    Thankyou

  2. I have just completed my first project using Adobe Premier Pro and Encore to do just what you are asking, that is making a DVD with movie plus stills and it works fine including fancy transitions and audio/music etc

As to quality, they all look fine when compared to the originals, but hard to tell if quality lost, will have to pay more attention. One thing for sure was when I used the ULead DVD software the quality was very poor.

Note that I added the pictures in Premier Pro, so the avi file used by Encore included the stills already.

Dont know if this helps at all
