    hi, i recently aquierd an old tv card, i dont know how old exactly, or if it supports xp, but i cant identify it and i was wondering if someone could help me identify it and install it. when i connect it to my computer it isnt recognized. one the card itself there are two chips. one says micronas msp 3415d b3... one says zoran. it says on the card somewhere maxtor copyright 1998. it has a metal box say 2 centemtersby 6 centemeters that says philips on it. i couldnt find any info or help on any site about this. please help.

    The Micronas msp 3415d b3 is the sound processor. Seems to be a PAL video card. Possibly Hauppage. If you are in Europe, it may work. In the US we have a FCC ID number that you can trace for any electronic device. It would be stenciled on the card. I imagine there is a similar ID system for Europe.

  3. My old TV Tuner card is bot NTSC and PAL I'm not sure why they would make one for just PAL.

    i am pretty sure it is pal since i do live in a pal area, i cannot find the driver for the tv card though. do you think the card might be damaged, or to old for xp or pentuim 4, or might my computer not recognize it until the driver is installed?
