    once i have the "vob" files etc... what is the best software for putting it on disc? - got nero now but getting lots of errors so want to try something else!

    Try Imgtools classic to make an ISO, then use DVDDecrypter to burn.

    When you say you have vob files, does this mean you have authored mpegs to a dvd video_ts folder? You have to have other files like .ifo before you can burn. You need an authoring program like TMPEnc DVD Author to create a compliant dvd folder.
