Memorex DVD+RW Problems

I bought Memorex DVD+RW several months ago and I just started using them. I burned using TMPGenc DVD Author. All 3 of my DVD players would not recognize the disk. In my DVD drive, it would freeze the directory viewer, Windows Explorer, until I eject the disk. I know it burned correctly due to this layer of darker color on the back of the disk. What's wrong? I know for sure that my DVD players can play DVD-+RW.

Since the spindle contains about 50 of them, I have tried 2 of them and it doesn't work. Since I already opened the packaging and it was bought several months ago, I doubt I can return it.

Try running an error check with Nero to see if there are any errors.

Memorex is 2nd quality, isn't that still pretty good? I tried to do the Scandisk but even when I check "Surface Scan", the "Start" button is disabled.

I tried taking a disc from the middle of the spindle and burning again and again, nothing is on the disc after. Is it possible that my DVD driver does not support DVD+RW discs? In Nero CD-DVD Speed, I get this message when I tried to click start:

Cannot simulate with this type of disc.

I have a Sony DW-U18A. Dual format up to 8X on DVD+R. And that's about all the information I know about it.

Use this tool http://www.liteonit.com/ODD/Zip/BookType135.zip to change the BookType / BitSetting to DVD-ROM.
