  1. I just created a DVD with subtitles. The problem is, when I playback on my DVD player the subtitles show only during certain scenes of the movie.

    This is strange.

    When I imported the subtitles all the correct text were there.

  3. I bet your subtitles crosses chapter boundaries. Or you added chapters that disected subtitles.

    Illegal,

    Did you use dvd-lab or dvd-lab pro? Experts correct me if I am wrong, but dvd-lab does not support subtitles, dvd-lab pro does. Look here:

    I just re-read your post and notice you already have some subs. Are these encoded onto the mpeg streams? and true sub-titles not showing up? Toggle subtitle button on dvd remote on/off and see if subs appear/disappear, or check mpeg streams for subs encoded to video(these can't be turned on/off). Otherwise I would go with awlchu's suggestion that they cross chapter boundaries, though I don't know why a chapter would be inserted in the middle of a sentence. Here is link to manual page for subs in dvd-lab pro;

    You can try to re-author the project without the chapters and see if that helps. Otherwise wait for dvd-lab expert like reboot to see this post and help out.

  7. I'm using the pro version, I have the SRT file.

    I imported them, I did not merge them with the mpeg.

    I added probably 2 chapters to the video.
    I scrolled to the scene with the preveiw bar at the bodom right & clicked the + icon to add chapter.

  8. I have a similar problem.

    I have chapters imported from dvddecrypter and 2 subtitle streams created by import the srt file from subrip.

    All the movie works fine excepts the subtitles. They aren't shown on the screen never, as if subtitles are off.

    I use DVD-Lab Pro 1.0 trial.

  16. @zero_net
    Try to re-author with GUIforDVDauthor. I am using it everytime to author with srt subs and have no a single problem.

    @hazeleyedoreo
    If you cannot switch the subs off, they are embeded (part of the video frame)

    I'll give it a try.

  18. You can remove embedded subs, but only by masking and re-encoding.
