Finalizing on a Panasonic DMR E85-H

Help please. I've tried looking it up in the archives, and if it's there I apologize for not finding it. I may not be the brightest star in the sky, but I'll be d@mned if I can understand Panasonic thinking.
I've been trying to finalize but to no avail. Burned the disc, looked for the
"Set Top Menu" and Select First Play. (pg 39 of the manual.) I doesn't exist on my screen.
How do I do this? (finalize)
I'm using Sony discs.

You have to switch from the hard-drive to the dvd-drive. Buy using the drive select buttons on the remote.Then push the functions button on to bring up the menu. Scroll down to setup/disc settings then choose finalize. All of this is described on pages 38,39 in the manual.

Thats for dvd-r only too.....

DvdRam doesn't use that.
