    btw,
    ne1 could suggest me the nice res.
    for divx authoring from DVD.

    I usually rent DVD and want to keep the copy of DVD
    in Divx format which fit in 1 CD 80 minutes.

    Which is the nice and good resolution for Divx which
    i want to play it on my 1024x768 full screen ?

    FIRST, dvd is only 720x480 so never higher than that. i reccomed 640xXXX i know that you want to play in that res, but its just stupid, playing in a lower res, no matter what monitor size u have will look better.

    I agree i've had my best results with 640Xxxx (640x480 cropped i think its 640x352)!
    In DivX from my experiance too low a resolution and your movies look crap (no matter what u set the bit rate to!)
    And too high a resolution and your movies start to become larger(file sizes) and uglier!!
