  1. Hello .....

First off ..... I know if I spent more time searching I probably could have found my answer in here somewhere, but I couldnt find it exactly .... granted I only spent 15mins looking ..... Nonetheless this is what forums boards are for anyway .....

I have a new theater setup with a 130" projection screen, and I want to make a demo disc of all my favorite scenes from my DVDs. I want to do this so that when I demo my system I dont have to sort through 15 different DVDs to showcase the video scenes and audio scenes.

I would like to rip chapters from different disc and then make them all go on one DVD.

Ive used TMPGenc (or something like that) in the past to rip individual chapters but I dont know how to assemble different chapters back together to make one DVD.

Can anyone point me to a guide??

Put each chapter into it's own folder then assemble them back together with the same program...DVDShrink.
    1) Take a whole chapter so the audio will not get messed up.
    2) You do NOT need to Shrink just because the program's name is DVDShrink...but if you add too many chapters...you may need to shrink in the final process.
    3) If you cannot or do not want the full chapter...that is a whole different ball game. I use Womble's MPEG VCR for stuff like that then re-author with TDA.

    Hello,

Actually one thing to add to hech54's post. You can choose just a portion of a chapter in dvdshrink. In reauthor mode go to the start/end button on the left side of the screen. From there you can select EITHER chapter or drag the little indicator tab for just the portion you want. It's not a step by step slider so you can't position it to the exact second but you can get very close with it.

I've had some audio sync problems doing that(not taking a whole chapter in DVDShrink)...I'll have to try it again sometime.

  7. You can try TMPGenc DVD Authour 1.6 for what you just did with shrink and make a menu at the same time.
