Text only menus

I have recorded a musical performance and have about 15-20 video clips to make a DVD with. Is there a program that will allow me to make a menu like :

1.  Tears of Joy           11.  XXXXXXX  
2.  Opus                     12.  XXXXXXX
3.  Romance               13.  XXXXXXX
4.  XXXXXXX              14.  XXXXXXX  
5.  XXXXXXX               15.  XXXXXXX
6.  XXXXXXX               16.  XXXXXXX
7.  XXXXXXX                17.  XXXXXXX
8.  XXXXXXX                18.  XXXXXXX
9.  XXXXXXX                19.  XXXXXXX
10.  XXXXXXX               20.  XXXXXXX

Using Nero Vision Express will only allow so many chapters per page and they also require a thumbnail. I don't need this wasted space. I need something simple and able to fit alot on the screen.

Ulead DVD Workshop 2 can do it. You can download the trial version for free. NOTE: the trial version does not support AC3 audio.

DVD Lab can do it as well.

There is a limit of 36 menu items per menu in the DVD spec, although you haven't reached that limit yet.

TMPGenc DVD Author easily creates text menus, just use the edit menu/create new menu option, its all there for you

I've just used a text menu recently for a DVD with loads of Pingu on it ...... for the kids of course

If you wanted to continue with NeroVision you could consider making your own button. They are simple bitmapped pictures in png format using red for transparency and green for the image(which could presumably be shrunk). However you'd still be stuck with the standard layouts which have a max of 12 buttons.

Incidentally Nero have released another batch of templates and buttons for NVE. It is NVE3content.exe and downloadable from their site.

Very easy job with GUI for DVDauthor...
If your clips are already named as the intended button texts, GFD automatically uses this info to create the text buttons.

Yeah, that's an easy one. You may want to be careful though how much stuff you try to put on one screen (if you plan on viewing it on a TV).
