  1. I am using nero and want to copy some avi files to dvd. How do I do this?
I am real new to burning dvds, so have no idea at all what to do.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?tools=&madeby=&formatconversionselect=AVI+to+DVD&h...or+List+Guides

That's a list of avi to dvd conversion methods. Found in the "GUIDES" section on the left.

    Which Nero?
Do you just want to store this AVI or do you want the DVD to play in a DVD player?

Store bought Nero (Currently 6.6 Ultra or Express) is capable of building a playable DVD.

I want to be able to watch them in our dvd player. I have nero 6.6 ultra. I have used winAvi, but a lot of the movies still won't play.

OK you are good with Nero 6.6 ultra. Next we need to define your AVI for compatibility with Nero Vision.

    WinAVi is a conversion program

What was the source of the file and how was it converted?

PS: AVI is like an envelope, a container. It doesn't define a video format.
