Yes. I know it sound crazy. But, this is how I concluded..

When a disk comes pre formatted, it is formatted from the factory
that *stamped* it. The format (IMO) is not 100% spot on with the
method the my iLO dvd recorder (or yours for that matter) produces.
    .
When I first started recorded onto the included disk, I was
experiencing/having all sorts of issues with bringing it to my PC
and reading it. It would drive my ROM drives mad, and lock up my
pc most of the times. But, after I re-formated, consiquentually
removing the *stamped* formate of the factories format it
would play (read) flawlessly. I found, however, that if I re-formatted
twice (8 seconds worth) from the iLO unit, it would give me what I
consider so far, a guarentee flawless disk. (I hope no one puts
    the wammy on me now)

So, I consider that a great TIP. And one to be used in all your
    required dvd recorder projects

    Good luck,

I don't care if it sounds nuts or not ... I'm going to try it.... I have oddities every now and then on the LiteOn with certain "problem" DVD+RW media that can only be read in a certain drive of mine.
