2. does it only copy files to computer if some system files r corrupted.
3. how come disk keeper found more low perofrming system files now after it doing that process from the xp cd and how do i make it not have low perofrming system files

Well this pc aint had the internet connection and aint goin to.
BUT i have installed one BIG game on there called flight sim 2004 would this have maybe affected the system files??
Also what confused me is after copying the files from cd in disk keeper more results were read as low performing system files.
A: Why?
B: Will they eventually clear?
Also ive noticed now with every other bit of software i install looking at the hijack this results after the scan theres often 1 or 2 errors with the software thats been installed..
It's wierd because on different computers id install it on some it wouldn't log any errors in the scan results of the exact same program and some it would..Can installs go a bit wrong or something?
Also how do i sort these errors out. Please answer these questions in order cheers!! -
I just done an scannow /sfc fix with windows xp home editioon which has been running for 2 days and had about 20 applications installed, i then done an sfc fix and it has been on the internet a lot now..and it didnt use up any space doing it..
therefore on a pc running windows xp professional when doing it it took up 2 GB..does it find files that r dodgy on the pc or something and then replace them with good ones??
just what i dont undertsnbad..this xp professional computer has no internet and have had it since december instalkled a big bit of software on it (flight sim 2004) was 2.8 GB.
How come it replcaed a load of files in the system folder on xp pro and didnt with xp home even tho xp home has been on the internet??
whats the problem i have here??
Is there any 0other software apart from SANDRA which will analyse the files to make sure theyre in the correct place and working ok..if not ca someone tell me to click the thing on SANDRA which would tell me this info..
Please dont tell me to look at the manual it takes ages and it's pages long and takes years to get to what i wanna look for when often its not even in the manual. plus i wouldnt have a clue what to look for..
cheers -
If you have a fresh clean install you shouldn't have any "corurpt" files. Just do a windows update (open internet explorer - click tools - select windows update) and let it Dload what it needs
You can't use XP PRO CD-rom to fix XP HOME or vice versa.
I use Notron System works to fix my problems.
Just my .02¢ -
thanks for that,
what i dont understand is that i have an xp pro cd thats never been linked up to the internetv and when doing that sfc scannow thing it still replaces about half a gig of files in the system folder..is this normal??
