I have a few DVD+RWs which I recorded from digital TV using my MiCO standalone DVD Recorder.
These are 16:9 format. The MiCO was set to 16:9 in its setup.
When you play them back on the MiCO or my Pioneer DVD player.. they play as anamorphic 16:9, automatically filling the widescreen TV.
Now.. I want to convert them to a DVD-R on my PC so I can add menus, edit out the ad breaks etc.
I can do this using Nerovision Express. I import the vob files from the DVD+RW and then merge them, edit out the ads, add a menu etc.. everything OK.
Then I come to burning.
If I leave Nero on the default (auto) then it burns as 4:3
When I play back on my TV, the picture is squashed into 4:3 and I have to start going into the TV menus to expand it to fill the screen correctly.
However.. If I set Nero to burn as 16:9.. It adds black bands to the top and bottom of my picture, in effect still creating a 4:3 image but with a 16:9 picture letterboxed inside.
Is there anyway to actually create a true 16:9 anamorphic picture?
Can Nerovision Express do this? If not.. what can?
Thanks
