  1. First may i say thanks for this great software well worth the tenner....

    I have done svcd to dvd no problems , so i tried a xvid avi , it keeps getting to about 14-15% and crashes out saying that there was an error with ffmpeg.
    The funny thing is i have had problems with all different avi`s on different software and have not been able to convert one for ages...

    I am running windows xp sp2 , and svcd2mpg v2 r3

    could this be a codec issue , and are there any basic things i could check , reinstall before looking deeper into this error and putting the log up ??

    Thanks in advance

    You don't need any codecs for SVCD2DVD. Some avi's may have some corruption, however, and this is why they may not convert. Basically i would need to test the file out...

    In the first instance you could email me your log.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

  3. Yeah this is the same thing thats happening to me and i'm using WinXP SP2 aswell. Used a load of other programs to try and convert the AVIs too and they either crash during the process or end up looking like they been through a blender lol
