  4. That was certainly a new style of asking a question, VCDHunter!

When that happened to me, I flushed all the history, cookies and temporary items in cache, then restarted. It worked nine times out of ten.

Then I switched to FireFox and don't need to worry about a thing any more, bar the odd page that needs Internet Exploder.

It even happens with Firefox fella

    Edit -

Five minutes online and its happened again I suddenly find myself logged out of VH and unable to access any other webpage bar this one.

    It should be in %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc

It allows you to force your computer to look at certain IP addresses for certain domains. I doubt it's your problem though. It is a common target for malware though, so open it up in notepad and check to make sure it looks just like this:
    # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    127.0.0.1 localhost
If it doesn't then change it to look like that and then save it and set the file as read only so no other software can modify it.

reset the router and cable modem by unplugging the power for 10 secs. check if it works.

make sure your router is ok and hasnt been taken over. you have a password and username settup right?

do the whole puter clean up thing..full virus scan. full spyware scan. reg clean and defrag your hdd.

All browsers. Its just kicked me out again. emule, skype and msn all remain working. If if "repair" my wireless network i can reaccess the websites. It also happens on my ethernet machine. This must be a router issue.
