  1. I had TMPGEnc 12a working without problems. I convert mpg files with vcd template and until now it worked properly. But suddenly TMPG stopped to work at all. It crashes right at the beginning when I press the encode button with an error message "the program performed an illegal operation".
    What's wrong? Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

  4. sometimes i have the same problem. not just with TMPGE but with other programs. not to often though. restart your machine see if that helps. run scandisk and see if that fixes it. might just have some files crossed...

  5. also one more thing, adjust your plug-ins for it. i've had to do that a couple of times for the crashing problem....depending on what my source file is....

  7. My tmpenc crashes also. It crashes after about 5 minutes,
    any ideas why?

So I tried the avi2vcd program successfully. Does anyone know what tmpenc quality level it is equivalant to, low or normal?

Also tried to download the tmpenc12a but could not get link to work. Does anyone have a valid link?

  8. I dont know if my tmpenc crashes are related to this but my nero was crashing with win98 controlling my vcache. I set a max vcache and it started working. I went back and now I am testing tmpenc again .So far, knock on wood , it seems to be working.
