I've got XP and dazzle DVC and I pretty much did what the instructions said:
1. Put driver disk in.
2. Cancelled setup.
3. THEN plugged in USB device (hardware then detected)
4. Pointed driver install to CD drive.
5. Installed MovieStar off CD (4.22)
6. Applied 4.22 to 4.23 path.
7. THEN applied 4.23 to 4.24 path (XP Patch)
It should detect the hardware regardless of order of software install.
What about USB in general.... can it detect another USB device if you plug it in?
It could be the device might already be in your harware list with busted drivers. Remove it if it is...
