Sorry SM, but in my time here I think I've been able to put in more than my $0.02 worth of comments / entertainment and feel comfortable saying I have friends here because of that and my participation in OT.

I had planned on adding additional comments but I am sure that they would be taken in the wrong context......

I'm not privvy to all that a mod has control over, what they have to deal with, etc but I can say that the playing field has definitely changed. Maybe it was a user who didn't like what someone said or responded with, and in order to placate (sp) that person, someone was carded or worse. This kind of stuff has gone on since I've been here and for the most part I guess you could say that previously the mods either looked the other way or tried to be a "part" of the gang (even though you are still a mod). Heck, look at the post whore scenario... I got tired of the shit after a week or so.... and it continued for quite some time before the mods/admin put an end to that...

And the IBTL thing was just a crock... Bring back order but to make that thread a "sticky"????

Anyway, the only good thing about this is that I hope that we all take something away from this and use it for the best interest of the forum.
As Northcat previously wrote, it's going to hurt for the forseeable future with the process of reestablishing order in OT. Some will stay, some will leave...

My hope is that we can maintain a level of order but still kick back once in a while...

You've misunderstood me. I believe what you say of your actions to be true. It is simply my opinion that it is unfair to call on the "old guard" for entertainment and hold them accountable for your amusement. I'm saying we must forgive if the movie we paid for isn't that great.

I am not calling on the old guard to provide anything to me... what I was refering to is that there was a time when things were good here with creative topics and humor injected replies / rants / vents and now it is not. I truly think that the recent tighting of the rules (that previously were NOT so tight) has caused people here to back off and find other alternatives.

Don't you see that there are two separate issues that have been confused?
The issue of pranks and the issue of rules? Is it fair to hold accountable all for both issues? Shouldn't the blame be doled out fairly?
