  1. I was told, a good way to backup my DVDs was to copy them as an ISO with DVDshrink and then burn them with DVDdecrypter. Would everyone agree with that?

How do I make an ISO with DVDshrink?

    thanx

  2. Yes, it's how I do it and it works flawlessly. When you go to output the DVD in Shrink, there'll be an option to change from an output of files, to an output of a single ISO image file. You won't see the option until you're about to perform the transcoding.

  3. Works like a charm. I did it that way all the time before
    I started using DVDrebuilder/CCE.
In fact I still use it for backups that need little or no compression.

I agree. I used to backup to folder, then make ISO image with ImgTools Classic, but after doing some tests, finding that I couldn't find any decrease in player compatibility in the DVDShrink ISOs, I've dropped the ImgTools step. YMMV.
