Hi friends !
in my pc i have 3 hard disks, 2 of them are P-ATA with 120Gb and the 3rd. is S-ATA with 160 Gb. i use one of the P-ATA for the Windows XP installation and all the software i use.
i will use the others two disks, one for capturing and the other for editing and processing the captured clips.
my question is, which of the others two disks (120 Gb or 160 Gb) will be best for capturing or for processing ?
thanks for your help !
best regards,
nachomur

Determine which one is faster (use HDTach). If you capture with a Video In Card to AVI, use the faster for capturing. From there, conversions and encoding is faster if you read from one disk and write to the other. Fragmentation is also kept to a minimum this way.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
