Cutting and chapters..

Hi,


I have a dvd recorder, but often i dont pause for the adverts. Also it will on insert chapters if i pause or the timer is set for multiple schedules.

Anyway.. I want some software that will allow me to go through the dvd and let me cut out the ads,, and also insert chapters..

Any ideas ?

Easiest way I know is rip the DVD to the computer with DVD Decrypter, re-author with TMPGenc DVD Author. Burn with your choice of burning software.

That will let you edit and create chapters. However the chapters and edits will be on GOPs not individual frames therefor you have to make a choice of leave in a small bit of a commercial or lose a small bit of the advert.

For completely accurate editing I use VideReDo. But that adds a extra step.

You can fine links to all of these in the tools sections on the left. You can also find guides on the left for more details on how to do. I mentioned these as they are easy to use. DVD Decrypter is free and the other two have trial versions that are time limited not feature limited.

Others will have other ways. These just work the easiest for me. This is the way I do it myself. I Use DVD RWs in the recorder so I can re-use them.

I use dvd rw's too, but they cant be read by the pc unless i finalise them

Then finalize them. Rip content to the computer, erase and reuse.
