  1. I am in the US and I have several PAL authored dvds that I cannot play on my dvd player. So I purchased a Desay dvd player that plays PAL authored dvds. I have hooked the Desay up to my tv and made the adjustments (eg into menu to settings to PAL) and I am still getting a distorted picture. What am I doing wrong and better yet, how can I fix it.
I have taken the advice of some that encouraged me to buy a PAL/dvd player vs converting the PAL to NSCT. Can someone pleae help me to make this work where I can get a decent picture and sound on this player?
Is it the palyer, the television or both? Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA

What do you mean by distorted ?

Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard.

  3. The best way to do this , would be to set the DVD player to region free, NTSC and see if the player will convert the signal, what you are doing Is out-putting Pal, and your TV is NTSC. I dont know anything about your Player but I bet that is the problem. if it doesnt work I know the Philips DVP642 will work.
