Hi. I've tried playing around with the packaged thumbnail scene selection menus that come with DVD-Lab Pro. The most that any one menu contains in those is twelve.
I'd like to be able to put in more when DVD-Lab automatically creates these for me. Some may argue they start to get too small to fit in the "safe TV area" but I think they could fit with smaller thumbnails.
Does anyone have a menu that can be loaded in that has more (say 20)? Thanks for any info anyone can offer.

This might not be what you are looking for (most I've done is 14, and it works pretty well). Try using the function for "Switched Menus" -- you can put up a list of 20 text lines, and one big thumbnail at the bottom of the list (or wherever you want on the menu). Then as you use the remote navigation to other text lines, the thumbnail changes to the associated button link (uses auto-activation and gives an illusion of the thumbnail changing as you go through the text buttons -- it's actually switching automatically to a new menu).

Make your own, or load up the 12 template, move them around, add more frames, link to chapter points.
I like the one frame idea, with switched menus, much nicer than a whole bunch of little pictures you can't really see.Cheers, Jim

GerogeW,
Thanks for that suggestion. I think the small pictures would be better if they could be generated automatically but I'll use that method if I can't find a better, automated way to do what I originally wanted within DVDLab Pro.
Reboot,
Was going to do that but I don't think the template can be saved if you do that? Correct me if I'm wrong please. And that sucks when you're doing menus with a LOT of chapters. I want it to automatically create them for me once I do it for *one* menu only (also for future DVDs). Call me lazy.
Great guides btw. -
Create your own chapters template, and save it.
Click Menu, export menu, as template.Cheers, Jim
