  1. If you put a DVD-R or DVD+RW disc in a DVD-RW burner then you try to burn a home movie into it, it won't burn correctly? The DVD-RW burner can only burn DVD-RW discs?

  2. A burner is a burner. Most will do -R, -RW, +R and +RW, and some will also do DVDRAM.
What make and model is yours?

  3. dogg, put your burner model, etc. in your user profile. That way we can see what you are using and you won't have to tell us whenever you have a question. Thanks

P.S. - If you had your burner listed in your profile, we could answer your question. OR, you could have looked up your burner in the 'DVD Writers' on the left, they will tell you what burners can burn what.
