What is the best HTPC software for displaying on TV?

Hi,

I have a PC integrated into my HiFi/DVD/Video equipment. My display device is a 29" TV set. I would like to find the more convenient user interface software taking into account that I do not use a PC monitor but a TV set.

I have tested several programs but they are generally designed for PC monitors. In fact I use the Windows desktop carefully configurated (800x600, big size fonts, resized icons, .....).

Does anybody knows a better option? Thanks in advance.

what is you system, display card?

what have you tried? what didn't you like?

Hi,

My PC is a P-IV with an ATI-7000 VGA card. Only the S-video out is used for video output (no computer monitor, only TV set).

My problem is that HTPC software often uses small fonts a other features not suitable for TV displaying.

A big size plasma or LCD could be bought in future ..... but now, for my budget, the only big screen option is a 50 Hz 4:3 TV set

What do you think is the best HTPC software option for this case?
