i own a hp pavilion 734 which i purchased over 2 years ago.i would like to put a dvd writer in it and im interested in the nec nd-3520a but the thing i need help about is there is a button and a flap in front of each drive so everytime i press the button the flap comes down and the cd/dvd tray comes out.will this cause problems if i purchased the above writer?ive tried ringing hp ad they were no help.

I don't think it will cause a problem. I also have an old HP Pavillion at home, and installed a LiteON drive into it.
The drive buttons are in a pretty standard position, so I can't see why it would be troublesome.
