    Anyone know how to get the file directly off of Dish Networks 520 receiver/recorder? Seems there has to be a better way than using a video capture card and having to replay every file. Even if I have to open the box, I would not mind (or so I think now).

    Look for answer in the Digital TV forum. I'm not sure if it is possible to receive Dish Networks with a DVB-S card or similar in your computer.

    I have a DVB-C card to record the stream from digital cable tv directly to my harddrive in my PC. But I live in Sweden and the digital tv standards are different in different parts of the world.
