  1. I heard there was a limit to the size windows could pick up is this true and if it whats the size limit?

  3. does that mean I can go out and get a 250 or 300 GB hard drive and hook it up with out any troubles ?

    or will have to portition it into smaller sizes ?

    pre sp1 the limit was 137gb...but with an update that's fixed. the biggest hdd made right now is 400gb

  5. Hmm, buy.com had some Terabyte hd drives when I looked before, might be sold out. Still has an external one:
    1 Terabyte External Drive - 1TBEXT-HDD

    Make sure your mobo supports >137GB also.

    These aren't single drives, but arrays. They most likely use four 250GB drives.

  8. thanks for the help guys, my motherboard is about 6 months old so I'm pretty sure I'll be ok and I use SP2 so that's all good.
