  1. I need to do some wireless network testing with high-bit rate video streams.

What I would like to do is take a hi-res source (e.g., DVD video), which is typically 5-8 Mbps VBR and re-encode it to 15 Mbps CBR. I would like to stay in Mpeg2, so I don't lose any video information. Visually, this should look no different, but it will stress video broadcasting across a wireless LAN harder.

What tools do you use? I already know about DVD decrypter to RIP the DVD. What tools should I use to take the VOB files and re-encode them to a higher Mpeg2 bitrate, so that the end result is a 15 Mbps CBR .mpg file.

Why not just run 3 or 4 simultaneous streams ?

Otherwise, any mpeg encoder should be able to encode at that rate.
